Art in Bloom 2011 page 4

At the left is a piece entitled "Pointsettia in Spring" by Shannon Robinson. Norma Lee Havens used lilies and a flowered jug to capture its joyful shapes and colors.

At the right Ellen Whipple used a similar color scheme in her blue and yellow arrangement. One bright yellow flower represented the sun in an otherwise blue painting called "Blue Flower Extravaganza" by Heather Purtell.

(left) Helen Zimmerman captured exactly the colors in "Roses" by Linda McLarney.

(right) "City at Night" by Michael Coughlin was interpreted by CP Kramarsky with similar geometric shapes.

"Famous Cat" by Mary Jane Budney was the inspiration for Louise Van Buren's arrangement, complete with a cat tail.

Rick, at Otego's Lifescapes Floral Shop, arranged this wonderfully original piece featuring gerbera daisies and a small bird perched at the top. Thanks Rick and to all contributors for participating in this year's event.
