| The Oneonta Federated Garden Club has 110 wonderful members and is adding new members monthly. The club meets on the second Monday of most months in St. James Episcopal Church. Our major project for the year is our civic beautification downtown planting. With funds provided by the Future of Oneonta Foundation and plants from Fraziers' Greenhouses, we fill the planter tubs in downtown Oneonta and plant beds in the parks and nursing homes. We enjoy a spring bus trip, two luncheons, a picnic and many instructional programs. We have frequent workshops for both newcomers and oldtimers. We hold a plant sale in early spring and a Christmas/Holiday Bazaar during the holidays. The club supports, with money and volunteer efforts, the activities of the local hiking trail, the Susquehanna Greenway, The Oneonta Federated Garden Club is a growing, active part of the Oneonta community.
Mary Leonard was the speaker at the Oneonta Garden Club's spring luncheon at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY.
