Our November 2011 Garden Club Meeting

Lucky Lady!!

One of our newest members won this gorgeous arrangement at the Oneonta Garden Club's November 2011 meeting. A raffle was held of Gary's arrangements and she was the lucky winner.

The arrangement was created by Gary of Gary's Flowers on Main Street. A large crowd of members applauded Gary for this outstanding arrangement. Gary used mums, greens, purple statice, three purple candles and, for sparkle, artificial peacock feathers.

Gary Buman and his partner Bob drape gold beaded ropes on the table to complement the two matching all white arrangements. The arrangements consist of 16" candles, white fuji mums, white roses, whilte lilies, greens and green hydrangea. The arrangements are elegant for a Christmas dinner or for any occasion.

Another of our new members, Sandy Jackson, holds a flower (not flour) cake created by Gary. On a base of artificial fall leaves, is an Oasis ring with yellow mums, red carnations, a yellow rose and birthday candles.

How wonderful to go home with an arrangement for your table as a raffle winner.
This one has a hollowed out natural pineapple. For flowers, Gary used brilliant lime mums, pine cone branches, bittersweet and ferns. Bittersweet is on the endangered list for New York State, but this bittersweet comes from another state that seems to have lots.
